What you get, free
Most free kundli tools give you a calculator output: a chart image, a table of degrees, and a list of dates. That is the raw material of a reading, not a reading. It tells you where the grahas were without telling you what any of it means.
This one gives you the whole thing. Your North Indian chart and full planetary positions, and then a written interpretation — your nature, your work and career, marriage and partnership, money, your physical constitution, and the Vimshottari dasha period you are running right now. A Mangal dosha verdict stated calmly, with the classical cancellations checked rather than skipped. Traditional remedies for the grahas under most pressure, all of them free ones.
Then an AI astrologer that has read your actual chart, so you can ask follow-up questions about your own placements rather than about a sun sign. It answers in Hindi, Hinglish or English, whichever you write in.
How the chart is calculated
Three things decide whether a kundli is right, and most free tools get at least one of them wrong.
Positions come from an astronomical ephemeris rather than from interpolated tables — the same physics used to predict eclipses, accurate to the arcminute.
The ayanamsa is Lahiri, also called Chitrapaksha, the standard adopted by the Indian government calendar. It converts positions from the tropical frame to the sidereal one Indian astrology uses, and the choice of ayanamsa is why two sites can put your Moon in different nakshatras.
Timezones are resolved historically for your birth place. India did not always observe a single standard time, and a tool that assumes it did will quietly produce a wrong lagna for anyone born before 1955.
Houses are whole-sign, the classical Indian method: each sign is one house, counted from the sign your lagna falls in. Every chart on this site states its method in the footer, because a reading that will not tell you how it was calculated is asking for more trust than it has earned.
Why the birth time matters
The lagna — the sign rising on the eastern horizon at your birth — changes roughly every two hours, and every house position in the chart is counted from it. A birth time that is two hours out will usually give you a different lagna and a substantially different reading, including a different answer on Mangal dosha.
If you do not know it, the chart is still worth generating. The Moon moves about thirteen degrees a day, so your Moon sign and nakshatra will almost always be correct, and those carry a great deal of classical practice on their own — your dasha sequence and most of kundli matching read from the nakshatra, not from the houses.

Is this kundli really free?
Yes, including the written reading. The chart, the interpretation of nature, career, marriage, money and your current dasha, the Mangal dosha verdict and the traditional remedies are all free with no signup. There is nothing to unlock.
Do I need to know my exact birth time?
It helps a great deal but it is not required. Without it we compute for 12:00 noon and mark clearly what stays reliable — your Moon sign, nakshatra and planetary positions — and what does not, which is the lagna and every house position that follows from it.
Why is my sign different from the one I already knew?
Because Indian astrology uses the sidereal zodiac, measured against the fixed stars, while western astrology measures from the spring equinox. The two have drifted about 24 degrees apart, which moves most people back one sign.
How accurate are the calculations?
Planetary positions come from an astronomical ephemeris — the same class of calculation used to predict eclipses — rather than from lookup tables. We use the Lahiri (Chitrapaksha) ayanamsa and apply historical timezone rules, so charts from before India standardised its time zone come out right.
Do you store my birth details?
There is no account and no database of charts. Your details are used to compute the chart and are carried in the result link itself, which is why that link opens your reading again later.
What is the difference between a kundli and a horoscope?
A kundli is your actual birth chart — the position of every graha at your exact moment and place of birth. A newspaper horoscope is written for everyone born across a whole month. They are not the same kind of thing.
